"Rhode Island may be a small state, but Amy Custis and Trinity Stained Glass are grand hosts for the
visiting instructors! There is always a feeling of 'family' when I visit, and I am treated like a
long lost cousin. The atmosphere is loose and fun and the workshops consistantly produce wonderfully
creative results."
- Stu Goldman

Robert Burrell answers a student's questions

"Building one of these beautiful Tiffany lamps was something I had wanted to do for a long time. So when Amy Custis
offered an advanced lamp-building class, I jumped at the chance. And, when my lamp took Third Prize in the national 2004
Art Glass Festival in the Tiffany Style Lamp category, I was absolutely thrilled!"
- Pat Benoit

Two students practice their soldering technique

"Trinity Stained Glass is what we always hope a small business will be: welcoming, personal and highly expert. Amy and
her team took me from complete beginner (as in "you mean glass comes in colors?") to winning my first stained-glass
original design contest in a year and a half. You could not ask for a better partner in the stained glass hobby than Trinity!"

Classes & Workshops
If you've ever wanted to learn how to do stained glass, Trinity's experienced stained glass professionals are ready to
teach you how. We offer classes at all levels - from beginners through advanced.
At Trinity Stained Glass, education is a very important focus. Since we personally don't have the time to do every project
we would like, we love to share our knowledge with our students, so that we have the opportunity to share their pride of
accomplishment, and enjoy success vicariously through their efforts. In addition to our beginner classes, and
the "beyond beginner" continuing education, we offer a full "menu" of intensive learning workshops. We have often
brought in guest teachers of international renown to conduct workshops in their specialties. At the bottom of this page,
you will find a list of workshop "menu" selections.
Introduction to Stained Glass - Beginner Level
Have you always admired the beauty of stained glass and wondered whether making such beautiful objects is something
that you could learn? This one-day workshop is designed to help you answer that question. Essential stained glass skills
can be learned in a relatively short time...but the passion can last a lifetime. Using the American Tiffany Copper Foil
Method, students will cut, grind, foil, and solder a decorative suncatcher which is yours to keep. All tools and
supplies are provided.
Trinity Stained Glass & Windmill Studio is proud of our affiliation with two local and long-established
Adult Continuing Education programs. Although you must register and make schedule inquiries directly with these
institutions, all classes are taught here at Trinity, by our skilled professional teachers.
Both of these institutions have MANY dates scheduled throughout the year. For dates, tuition, and registration information,
please contact either/both:
In addition to the Beginner Classes described above,
Trinity Stained Glass & Windmill Studio will offer the SAME one day beginner class at any time we have four people
who have not registered with either of the above.
- ALL students at Trinity are required to follow safety rules, including "NO SANDALS".
Chances are that you will want to continue your education in stained glass, and Trinity Stained Glass & Windmill
Studio is at your service. Read on for our Continuing Education program.
